STATEMENT

Becca Bellamy is an artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina. In her work, Bellamy explores the contained space created by man-made structures, particularly the more uncelebrated places. She is inspired by the interplay of interior and exterior space, under a bridge for example, and the way light fills and frames that experience. Bellamy works primarily in oils with a cold wax medium, using palette knives to apply the paint.
